PRESS RELEASE - SEPTEMBER 29, 2014
Kodak Alaris, Access My Records and Inofile collaborate on a solution that helps providers qualify for financial incentives, while delivering better patient outcomes.
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 29—Providing patients with access to their health records electronically, via a “patient portal,” delivers a number of benefits that improve the transitions of care from one healthcare provider to another. A successful portal is instrumental in educating patients about their health, and removes barriers to easy interaction between providers, patients and family members.
For healthcare providers, making patient information available via a portal within four days of treatment is an important part of Meaningful Use 2 (MU2) compliance. But securely sending and receiving patient data that originates from various content sources is an ongoing challenge for many providers. To address this issue and to help facilitate provider adoption of patient portal systems, Kodak Alaris has partnered with Access My Records (AMR) and Inofile to create a comprehensive solution for health information exchange between physicians, care providers and patients. The solution solves workflow challenges and enables secure, standards-based patient information exchange, contributing to HIPAA compliance. It also provides a method to replace faxing with the addition of document scanners from Kodak Alaris and Kno2 software from Inofile.
This turnkey solution enables doctors to easily Direct Message unstructured and structured patient information as a Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) to the AMR Patient Portal, whether they are using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, a paper-based system, or a hybrid system. As data is received from multiple facilities or practices, it is automatically organized into the AMR Patient Portal. This gives patients a complete view of their detailed health information from participating physicians, service care providers and other sources within an organized, search-friendly platform.
“Kodak Alaris announced its new ConnectCare Solutions portfolio for the healthcare industry at HIMSS14 earlier this year,” said Jody Miller, Director of Healthcare Solutions, Kodak Alaris. “At the same time, we also unveiled Direct Health Messaging with Inofile’s Kno2 software. Now, thanks to our new partnership with Access My Records, AMR’s Auto-Create patient portal solution extends that functionality by giving our customers the ability to share health records with their patients using AMR’s ONC-certified patient portal.”
Combining Kodak Alaris’ ConnectCare Solution (www.kodakalaris.com/go/connectcarenews) featuring Inofile’s Kno2 software with AMR’s patient portal solution, the end-to-end offering transforms scanned paper healthcare documents into structured electronic patient information that can be transmitted using Direct Messaging within the DirectTrust framework, exchanged among providers, and viewed and shared by patients. Direct Messaging is a new, secure, standards-based method of exchanging patient information and transitioning patients between care providers.
“Our solutions revolutionize patient data exchange for the healthcare industry and provide a unique value to our partners, like Kodak Alaris, while offering providers a comprehensive portal solution that directly engages their patients,” said Leonard Tambasco, CEO, Access My Records. “By collaborating with Kodak Alaris and Inofile, we’re collectively offering a turnkey data exchange solution that creates greater flexibility and compliance for healthcare providers seeking options to efficiently and cost-effectively implement a patient portal for health information exchange.”

PRESS RELEASE - AUGUST 5, 2014
BOCA RATON, FL., August 5— Today, Access My Records, Inc. announced its patent-pending technology to provide hospitals, HIEs and healthcare software vendors with a “low-touch” solution to “auto-create” a patient portal originated from standardized HL7 patient documents (structured CCDs or unstructured CDAs) sent over Secure Direct Messaging.
AMR provides its partners the ability to auto-create a patient portal “presence” within its ONC Certified patient portal upon first receiving a CCD or CDA via Direct Messaging. AMR’s Secure Direct Messaging is enabled within the healthcare community’s trusted HISP-based network through its HISP to HISP partnership with Surescripts.
Now, HIEs and any healthcare software vendors that either create or manage patient data can automatically send a CCD or CDA as part of their workflow, to a known “direct” email address into AMR. As the data is received from multiple partners and multiple independent facilities or practices, it is ‘ingested’ into the AMR Patient Portal—enabling patients to have an organized view of their health information from all the independent sources. This patient health information can include both structured and unstructured data like clinical information or unstructured images included as attachments.
“This revolutionizes patient data exchange for the healthcare industry as a whole and provides a unique value to our partners—benefiting patients, nationwide.” said Leonard Tambasco, AMR’s CEO. “Our partners simply need to send us the data; our portal technology will manage the data organization, the presentation and interaction with the patient.”
Effectively, AMR’s technology is creating a robust repository of accumulated patient data from multiple facilities that can be managed and viewed by the patient—in an easy and scalable way—in a modern web interface and mobile user experience.

PRESS RELEASE - MARCH 5, 2014
Access My Records, Inc. (AMR), Boca Raton, Florida, - AMR, a leading cloud-based patient portal solutions provider to the EHR/EMR markets and their patients, unveiled their redesigned ONC Meaningful Use Stage-2 2014 AMR Patient Portal 2.0 last week to HIMSS14 audiences with rave reviews for the new GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the company’s value-building approach to quality patient engagement.
“’It’s not like anything else at the show’” was heard again and again during the demonstrations to our new EHR/EMR partners and hospital representatives alike.” said Scott Kinnear, Chief Technical Officer for the company. “Our belief is that in order for patient engagement to truly occur, the patient must want the simplicity of and directly benefit by the patient portal they use.”
“The look and functionality of AMR Patient Portal 2.0 has been updated to reflect and embrace the new patient portal market while fostering true patient engagement of the everyday user.,” said Leonard Tambasco, CEO of Access My Records, Inc. “Most portals are an ‘information silo’ and abandon today’s patient through legacy systems, non-shareable records, and designs of the past. In doing so, these portals are falling short of patient engagement responsibilities and measures; negatively impacting the doctors and hospitals that use them.” Mr. Tambasco went on to say, “People demand the power of healthcare technology, but they also look for simplicity-in-use and common-sense in design. Our solutions fulfill their wants, while our certification status is simultaneously solving our partner’s compliance needs. We’be drawn from our experience as a leading direct-to-consumer PHR service provider since 2005 and that experience has afforded us unique insights into today’s real-world patient behaviors and expectations in the digital age of healthcare.”

(AMR) is a cloud-based software solution provider, offering market-tested and seasoned patient health management and engagement services through its ONC 2014 Certified patient portal (AMR Patient Portal 2.0) and PHR software. PRESS RELEASE - DECEMBER 10, 2013
Summary: The CMS extended for a year, the deadline for health care providers to meet Stage 2 and it amounts to barely a whisper of change to EHR/EMR companies. An extension for care providers does not equal a delay for EHR/EMR companies introducing Meaningful Use Stage 2 compliant versions of their product.
AMR, a leading cloud-based patient portal solutions provider to the EHR/EMR markets, like many in the industry, received the late-day notice last Friday that yet another change was issued for Meaningful Use. The key point was the extension of MU2 for care providers—not a delay for EHR/EMR companies. For EHR/EMR companies with a weak or uncertified solution, this should not be interpreted as a license to delay or an unmitigated reprieve from making your difficult decision to ‘build or buy’ MU-2 compliant solutions.
“Staying on top of these changes and understanding the timing, the markets and the specific constituencies they impact allows us to temper our reaction to changes such as this extension. How we may differ from other companies really comes down to our longer-term view of the industry and the capabilities of our solutions built up over time. We have always been ‘ahead of the curve’ on clinical and consumer value, EHR integration technologies, and the long-standing patient controls for sharing their records with multiple providers across multiple networks, regardless of EHR/EMR software environments.” said Mr. Leonard Tambasco, CEO of Access My Records, Inc. “The eight-year course of Access My Records has been steady, our 2012 focus on advanced integrated patient portal solutions for EHR/EMR vendors withstands the shifts in compliance schedules without pause. Our philosophy has been to remain true to the clinical value, offer the most cost-effective, mutually beneficial partnership to those vendors, and always incorporate the common-sense needs of the patient population at-large.”
